DESCRIPTION

A commercial construction firm plans to build three two-story buildings, including one for its new headquarters, in Braselton at the Hall-Gwinnett County line.

Asa Carlton Inc.’s new home will be off Thompson Mill Road between Longstreet Clinic and Chick-fil-A.

The company, which has 200-plus employees, expects some 50 workers initially to be in the office, “expanding by another 50% in the near future,” a company press release states.

When company leaders saw that Asa Carlton was starting to outgrow its office in Buford, “they knew they’d really prefer to build a new headquarters,” the company says. “The group wanted a home that reflected the company’s diversity. Working heavily in the medical industry, it was fitting that a tract of land … near Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton was available.”

The office development also would be near Old Winder Highway/Ga. 211 and Friendship Road/Ga. 247.

The company’s new headquarters is expected to be completed by the end of 2020.

“We are excited for the incredible opportunity that our new location … will bring,” said Greg Swinks, the firm’s Vice President.

The two other buildings flanking Asa Carlton’s headquarters will be available for lease. They will be built as the need arises and tenants are secured, according to the company.
